雲のむこう……

新海誠さんとはもう一年近くお会いしていないのですが、それでも僕は勝手に心のなかで友だちだと思い続けています。というわけで、そんな彼が、ついに「雲のむこう、約束の場所」の完成スケジュールを示してくれたのはとても嬉しいことです。おお、2004年秋の劇場公開とは！ 正直、完成は2005年になると思ってました。
……なんていう笑えない冗談は横において（というか俺も「情報自由論」改稿しよう）、これからの制作追い込み、がんばってください。まじめな話、日本のアニメの、というよりもネットを舞台とする新しい表現・流通の将来はこの作品の出来に掛かっていると思います。アニメ的には来年は大監督たちの新作が次々公開される注目の年ですが、大方内容も集客も予想されるなか、批評家としての僕が、一定の不安を抱えつつもいちばん楽しみにしているのは実は新海さんの「雲」です。ぜひ個人制作アニメの限界を見せてください。
そして、みなさんも気が付いていると思うのですが、この作品の主人公の名前は僕と同じ「浩紀」なんですね。偶然なんでしょうか。たとえ偶然だとしても、僕をファンにするのには最適な戦略です。へへへ。新海株上がりまくりです。
……何て思ってたら、なんだ、新海さん、あんなに飲みに誘っても断り続けのくせに、アンセブのライブには行ってたんじゃないか！ しかもこの書き方はゲストで入場したくさい（間違いだったらごめん）！ チクショウ！ まじで悔しいぞ！ 新海株下がりまくりだ！ 作品に対しては、批評家として断固厳しい態度で臨ませてもらいますよ（笑）！
